Firewall
FAQs relating to firewalls
Firewalls prevent unauthorised data being transferred from and to your computer. Normally the firewall allows the communication from your web browser to a web site (so called http, port 80). However some parts of this site uses other channels (or technically speaking "ports") of communication and this may be blocked by the firewall unless it has been especially allowed.
Some firewalls also check the data that is being transfered. If you are looking at a page with hundreds of pictures, then this might take long due to the virus scanning of each picture. read more »

Security
Hier you will find questions concerning the security aspects of using this site.
Your person, your status in our community and the information in your account is important to us. If somebody had illegal access to your account they could impersonate you and cause damage. For this reason we try to make it difficult for hackers to get access and we specify a minimum of 6 characters as well as a "hard" password.
We can only strongly recommend that all your passwords should be longer than 6 characters and of type strong.
Any payment information that you use on this site, like credit card number, is encrypted using 128 bit (or better) Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology before it is sent over the internet. This means that nobody in internet can see the data which you send.
SSL is the preferred method to securely transfer payment information over the Internet.

Code can be displayed in filtered HTML or full HTML. To display code, you have two solutions:
- Use the regular <pre></pre> HTML tags
- Use the <code></code> tag
Text using the <pre></pre> tags will be shown black. If you use the <code> tags, the program code will be syntax highlighted in colour.
Note: If you are using the WYSIWYG editor, switching between the rich-text and normal mode might scramble your formating.

Smileys or emoticons are small graphical images used to convey feelings, moods or other emotional content.
When we talk to people face to face in real life, we "see" a vast amount of non-verbal communication in the way someone uses facial expressions and other body language. In fact, psychologists say that only 3% of communication is verbal! Emoticons can be very effective in expressing a little of that visual information.
